What is NALA’s opinion on UV lashing technique? It’s been out for a few years now and is popping up everywhere. Have we made any progress with scientific studies proving safety or not for eye health for both the technician and the client?

Many of the 'safe' or 'low-fume' adhesives currently being promoted by industry associations result in poor retention, with extensions lasting only 1–2 weeks. This is causing high client dissatisfaction, as they pay for a premium service but receive sub-par results. Does NALA prioritize these 'gentle' formulas over professional-grade retention, and how can we justify the high cost of the procedure to clients if the 'safest' products on the market fail to deliver lasting results?
